This is not the type of accomplishments you want on your resume.The truth is that the senior executives in your company are usually the ones who are granted the most opportunities for advancement. Most of them have not done any work yet on what they will accomplish. They don't know what the value of their work is going to be.If the only time senior executives get asked about their accomplishment is when they are being interviewed, they will be offended and will try to minimize it. They will not let you know their accomplishments will be talked about, but will take care of that by minimizing it.If the situation arises where someone wants to talk about their accomplishments, what do you think it is? They will make up an achievement and will make a big deal out of it. This is exactly what you don't want on your resume.If a company asks you to put down your d ean's list and you are not familiar with what they say, don't do it. You may not be right for the job and putting it on your resume will put you in a bad light.But, if you are thinking, 'I need to put that on my resume,' then you can put down your dean's list as long as you are sure to put it into the proper category. If you don't feel comfortable about it, then keep it to the side.The reason people put down their dean's list is they don't know what to put in the proper category. What they are not even sure about is whether to put in their immediate supervisor or someone from another department. They just know they need to put down the name of the person who gave them the opportunity.So, in conclusion, put down your dean's list! It's the easiest thing to do and you never know, someone else might be looking for it too.
